Valentino Announces 'Empathy' Campaign For FW20/21 Collection
A charity project benefitting Lazzaro Spallanzani Hospital in Rome.

For Valentino‘s Fall/Winter 2020/2021 collection, the brand has introduced a sincere campaign and collection dubbed ‘#ValentinoEmpathy’. Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli has created the campaign as a response to living in a new world that is social distancing.
Piccioli’s empathy-inspired special project celebrates a society with no place, boundaries or categories, contrasting against current circumstances across the globe. From this ideology comes Valentino’s new Women and Men’s FW20/21 advertising campaign, shot in places where acclaimed artists are living with their loved ones.
The exclusive cast of the Valentino Empathy campaign includes artists, models and Maison’s friends of the house, such as Anwar Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Liu Wen, Christy Turlington, Tali Lennox, Ghali, Leon Dame, Mustafa the Poet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laetitia Casta, Tang Yan, Rafferty Law as well as others.
All talent will be captured wearing a look from the upcoming collection. The end project will be a different seasonal advertising campaign consisting of portraits, with each portrait being taken by someone that they have been sharing time and space with during lockdown. All “photographers” will be credited with the relationship that the talent has with them.
