South2 West8 Blends Heritage Textiles and Technical Outerwear in FW20 Lookbook
Functional outdoor layers.
Back in July, South2 West8 brought its SS20 lookbook to a sunny seaside coast that presented a range of light layers. This time around, the NEPENTHES label has opted for a more minimal backdrop, highlighting a mix of technical outerwear and warm heritage silhouettes. The collection includes cold-weather staples in the form of multi-pocketed hunters vests, camo jackets, parkas, fur coats, mohair sweaters and richly patterned trousers colored in palettes of light brown, olive, muted tangerine, burgundy, purple and charcoal gray.
One noteworthy garment is a dark gray camo jacket that comes with waterproof lining and taped seams. Its thin exterior membrane optimizes breathability while keeping water out during rainy days. As a finishing touch, the jacket comes with velcro cuffs and elongated zipper pockets that start from the upper chest and end near the waist. Another highlight is the olive trousers, emblazoned with a detailed tribal pattern. The left leg sees a set of South2 West8 logos, complemented by triangular motifs at the right. Other pieces like the desert beige gabardine jackets, quilted fleece zip-ups, paisley slacks, striped track jackets, and canvas chore coats round up the concise assemblage.
