Royal Salute Releases Rare $30,000 USD Scotch Blend
Limited to 106 bottles worldwide.

Fine whisky purveyors Royal Salute recently announced a rare, limited edition blend that will retail for $30,000 USD per bottle. The Time Series 52 Year Old Single Cask Finish was made by combining a selection of the oldest and most valuable whiskies in Royal Salute’s collection and will be limited to just 106 bottles worldwide.
The Time Series 52 Year Old has been classified as a single cask finish blend that is balanced by a creamy finish, as it spend the last 14 years of its 52-year maturation process in a single cask. Sweet notes of ripe plum, toffee, red apples and dark chocolate-covered hazelnuts enhance the blend’s rich flavor profile, while overall flavors of orange marmalade, ginger, pears and licorice delight the senses.
Adding to the luxury of the blend’s experience, the bottle comes housed in a numbered hand-blown Dartington Crystal decanter that rests inside a box made from five layers of wood. Each layer of the box’s wood represents a decade of the blend’s aging process.
“The longer the whisky matures, the more intricate it becomes,” says Royal Salute Master Blender Sandy Hyslop. “With 52 years of aging, the delicate balance of some of the rarest of our whiskies, has created an unrivaled depth of flavor and unbelievably complex characteristic, making for a remarkable expression that perfectly shows that time is a key element of our creations.”
The Times Series 52 Year Old Single Cask Finish is currently available select retailers including The Whisky Exchange for $30,000 USD.
In related news, three of Japan’s best whiskies will no longer be available due to a Nikka Whisky shortage.
