Art Comes First Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary With Elegant "Exhibition" Collection
Chains, rings & more bring a punk edge.
Art Comes First has unveiled the latest looks for Fall/Winter 2020 with its “Exhibition” collection. Shot against decadent drapery and heavily adorned walls, the lookbook for “Exhibition” celebrates the brand’s 10-year anniversary in elegance and style. From tailored suits and shirts to more relaxed knitwear and crewnecks, the latest range of apparel highlights Art Comes First’s grungy yet sophisticated style.
Like its Fall/Winter 2019 collection, Art Comes First draws from the black color palette, graphics and studded jewelry of heavy metal looks. A skull design is incorporated into puffer jackets, coats, blazers, shirts and trousers, giving refined apparel an edgy aesthetic. Gold chains and chunky jewelry complete the head-to-toe looks.
While “Exhibition” spotlights the updated formalwear, playful detailing is also found throughout the collection. A scissor print adorns bright yellow and red apparel, bringing a bold splash of color to the otherwise muted range, while “This is Not a Brand…But Art Comes First F*ck Logos” brands a leather jacket. Staying in line with the collection’s theme, a crewneck sweatshirt is emblazoned with the definition of an “Art Exhibition” on its back.
From January 15 to 22, “Exhibition” will be on view by appointment only during Paris Fashion Week. The collection’s release date and prices have not yet been confirmed.
