Rumors Point to Raf Simons Possibly Heading to Miu Miu
A potential return to Milan for the Belgian designer.
Shortly after presenting his eponymous label’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection at Paris Fashion Week, Raf Simons is now rumored to be making his way over to Prada Group.
According to reports, the Belgian designer is expected to take on a director role at Prada sister label, Miu Miu. Accompanying rumors are speculating that Simons could be set to collaborate with longtime friend Miuccia Prada in some form, as the Italian fashion designer and businesswoman is still heavily engaged in the subsidiary she founded back in 1993. If Raf were to head to Miu Miu, it is expected that he would help bring back the label’s often forgotten menswear line, carved out its own position in fashion with its progressive codes from 1999-2008.
Although Prada Group had no comment on the rumors, insiders are noting the group’s recent move of Miu Miu’s communication office to Milan from Paris as signs of big changes at the label.
