Two Generations of Nike Collide on Air Force 1 React D/MS/X
Timeless silhouette, modern cushioning tech.

Nike has combined the timeless Air Force 1 with modern-day React cushioning technology to create the all-new Air Force 1 React D/MS/X. The latest offering from the brand’s D/MS/X line — a highly conceptual collection of silhouettes like the Air Max 720 Waves and Ghoswift — this hybrid silhouette retains a classic Air Force 1 shape but updates both the technology and detailing.
Several colorways are set to release over the course of 2020, but the launch iteration is white with black and red accents. The upper is split between stitched synthetic leather and mesh and uses a low-slung Swoosh outline graphic for its focal point. More details arrive via a layered heel piece and a black D/MS/X stamp on the medial heel.
Meanwhile, the soft foam that gives the shoe its name is contained on the inside, thanks to a drop-in React midsole with a Ramp Air unit in the heel. This potent piece of concealed tech is nodded to on both the midsole and outsole: the former equips red plastic trim with React branding around its traditional Air graphic, while the latter swaps out its standard star texture for a recognizable noodled React pattern on the heel and toe.
The Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X will make its debut on the Nike webstore come January 17, with a yet-to-be-determined retail price.
Moving over to skateboarding, Nike SB has readied a special Mexico-inspired SB Dunk High for Paul Rodriguez in honor of his 15 years on the SB team.
