adidas has taken its omnipresent BOOST cushioning and melded it with the classic adilette slide to create the new adilette BOOST, a hybrid sandal with a full BOOST footbed. Lauded for its comfort and support, BOOST is used heavily in performance footwear and has often been tapped to modify old-school lifestyle silhouettes from the adidas Originals line as well. However, this marks the open-celled foam’s first use on sandals of any kind.
Arriving in an elegant mixture of black and white, these slides feature a BOOST sole with slightly raised edges. A cleverly concealed nod to the UltraBOOST is provided by the black footbed, which takes on a pattern reminiscent of the Continental rubber outsoles from early UB models and adds a white graphic hit on the heel. A leather strap with raised tonal rubber stripes furthers the branded embellishments, and an UltraBOOST 20 outsole completes the look.
Part running shoe, part slide, part conversation piece and entirely comfortable, the adidas adilette BOOST is available now at the adidas webstore and retailers like Sneaker Politics for $60 USD.
