MAD Paris Gives Rolex's Datejust 36 an All-Black Makeover

MAD Paris has released a new iteration of Rolex’s new Datejust 36 Oyster Perpetual, opting for an all-black aesthetic that’s vibrantly contrasted by blue dial highlights and blue sapphires.
The stainless steel watch — introduced in 2019 — utilizes Rolex’s Oystersteel, a special 904L steel alloy that is used in aerospace and chemical industries, maximizing the watch’s anti-corrosion properties. This is matched by the brand’s iconic Oyster bracelet, opting for a sleek all-black look that runs towards the Oysterclasp, which features a darker-hued black. MAD Paris shines when moving towards the dial, whereby vibrantly illuminated index hands and a blue sapphire crystal bezel make for eye-popping details. As is characteristic of the watch customizer, the timepiece’s face has been given an archetypal black treatment contrasted by white detailing.
