Louis Vuitton to Unveil NBA Partnership at Paris Flagship Later This Month
#LVxNBA is coming soon.
WWD has learned that Louis Vuitton will be announcing a partnership with the NBA at a soon-coming cocktail party in Paris.
This is not the first time that LV has celebrated its passion for sports, having recently made the 2019 Davis Cup Trophy, a trophy case for League of Legends, and dipping its hand into sporting goods with the likes of its monogrammed rugby ball.
The French fashion house sent out a save-the-date invitation to a cocktail event at its flagship on Avenue Montaigne in Paris on January 22. Louis Vuitton’s invitation depicted the outline of a basketball court with its insignia glowing in the middle, almost referencing a basketball itself.
As WWD states, the invitation wore the #LVxNBA hashtag along with the statement, “Michael Burke, chairman and chief executive officer, Louis Vuitton is pleased to invite you to celebrate the new partnership between Louis Vuitton and NBA.” No further comment was supplied by the house.
The announcement of the partnership will come before the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks play their inaugural NBA regular-season game at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris on January 24, which is a first for the capital. Stay tuned to HYPEBEAST for more information as it unfolds.
