Audemars Piguet Unveils CNY Titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar
Only 88 pieces made.
Audemars Piguet has just unveiled a limited-edition Titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar for Chinese New Year. The 41mm watch case along with bracelet is crafted in titanium, and features a slate-gray Grande Tapisserie dial that’s contrasted with black subdials.
As Michael Friedman, Head of Complications at Audemars Piguet comments, “For well over 200 years, beautiful and complex watch mechanisms from the Vallée de Joux have been made especially for China. Audemars Piguet is honoured to continue this historic tradition with the creation of this highly contemporary Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in titanium made for the Chinese market.”
Worked on alongside avid Audemars Piguet collector Austen Chu of horoloupe, the Chinese celebration is brought to life via a dark-red week indicator and matching rubber strap. The watch’s functions include a perpetual calendar with week indication, day, date, a moonphase, month, leap year, hours and minutes. Limited to 88 pieces (88 being a lucky lumber in Chinese culture), the Chinese New Year Titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch will be exclusively sold in China.
