Bones Is a Religious Cult Leader in Visual for "ArentYouASightForSoreEyes"
The latest from the underground mastermind.
Bones continues to sculpt his legacy with a new music video titled “ArentYouASightForSoreEyes.” The prolific cult rapper has for the past several years prompted a range of grassroots fans through his independent approach to music, fleshing out one of the identifiable styles within the hip-hop landscape. Last November the TeamSESH frontman dropped off his latest project, IFeelLikeDirt, dropping off fourteen tracks that continued to highlight his eerie soundscapes and otherworldly poetics, capitalizing on his witch house-tinged sound that his fans continually froth at the mouth for.
Within the visual for “ArentYouASightForSoreEyes,” Bones continues to develop his cult persona by being posited as a religious leader. He’s seen perched at the front of a chapel rocking religious attire as he rids his followers of their troubles. The track itself is much a depiction of his own grind and hustle, rapping lyrics like “You’d stop when it’s dark, I’m in this b*tch till the sun up” and “My brain don’t pause I’m dopin’ / Choose up, f*ck being chosen,” further bridging with a chorus that echoes “And it be like that, till the line go flat, till the line go flat.”
