Awake NY Revives Timberland's Sport Trekker in "Beef & Broc"
The quintessential boot’s first-ever collaborative iteration.
Angelo Baque‘s Awake NY has teamed with Timberland to revive a New York classic: the Sport Trekker. Presented in a timeless “Beef & Broc” colorway, Baque’s brand has cranked up the luxury on this utilitarian style by adding premium materials and thoughtful details.
The “Beef” portion of the shoe’s nom de guerre is provided by a brown snakeskin-textured leather that covers the forefoot and heel. “Broc” arrives via a soft and shaggy green fleece on the throat, collar and quarter plus a small patch on the toebox. Black plastic overlays appear towards the collar and feed into the lacing system, which uses classic rope boot laces and gold metal hardware on the eyestays.
Aside from the premium construction, these co-created boots are rife with special branded embellishments. Awake NY’s flowing script logo is present on the heel collar and leather hangtag. Timberland graphics appear on the heel counter and aforementioned plastic overlay. Both are then brought together triumphantly on the tongue, which proffers a co-branded patch. Down below, a rugged black/brown midsole and outsole completes the look.
The Awake NY x Timberland Sport Trekker will release via the Awake webstore and Dover Street Market‘s New York outpost on January 10 for $149 USD.
