Kicking off what’s set to be a big year for Prada — with limited drops, special shoes and timely capsules on the way — the Italian luxury label has recruited three heavyweight stars to showcase its forthcoming seasonal range. Frank Ocean, Austin Butler, Nicolas Winding Refn show off a variety of forward-looking Spring/Summer 2020 Prada suiting and sneakers.

The theme for Prada’s latest campaign is informed by acronyms, toying with the meaning behind the letters that spell out “PRADA” Ocean’s inimitable sartorial flair is represented by a long coat, striped shirt, bolo tie and clunky boots, accompanied by his personal “PRADA” interpretation: “Programming Rhythms And Dancing Again.” Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood and The Dead Don’t Die actor Austin Butler opts for quirkier layering, with slim trousers underpinning a shirt-on-shirt look and his “PRADA” acronym: “Pursue Randomness And Dichotomies, Always.”

Finally, Drive and The Neon Demon director Nicolas Winding Refn sports perhaps the most tailored looks of the trio, balancing camel and check-patterned coats with a matching tie and relaxed black slacks, respectively, retaining the heavyweight shoes preferred by Ocean. His “PRADA” acrostic spells out “Perfection Requires Artful Discourse, Always,” highlighting the collaborative process necessary to become a successful director, screenwriter and producer.

Skim through Prada’s new SS20 advertising campaign above and watch it come to life in the accompanying videos posted to the luxury house’s Instagram page.

Most recently, Prada partnered with Saks for the retailer’s special “The Stunt” Super Bowl collection.
