To celebrate 50 years of the adidas Superstar, adidas Originals partnered with Jonah Hill and a host of its closest collaborators for the Change Is a Team Sport film. Hill directs and appears in the accompanying film, showcasing a host of stars rocking the timeless trainers and Three Stripe tracksuits.

Ninja, Kerwin Frost, BLACKPINK, Pharrell, Yara Shahidi, Anitta, Mariah Duran, Mark Gonzales, Blondey, Tyshawn Jones, Liz Cambage, Paul Pogba, NIGO, Jackson Wang, Chris Severn, Mette Towley, Tracy McGrady, Anna Isoniemi, and Hill himself all appear in the one-minute-long clip, some making longer appearances than others. Skater Jenn Soto takes center stage, traveling through a multi-part facility populated by the influential creatives as they lounge, perform, commune and hone their respective crafts.

“There’s no knowledge without the older generation who did it first,” Hill said in a statement. “And there’s no change or progression without the new generation. So if those two generations come together, I feel like that creates the atomic charge for great art and great creativity.”

The Change Is a Team Sport program will crop up throughout 2020, according to adidas. Throughout the year, the German sportswear giant is planning to launch a series of initiatives in line with the campaign’s aim to spark positive change in global communities.

Recently, adidas channeled heritage in an entirely different way by reviving the Microbounce T1.
