StrangeLove Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low Is A "Fine Pair"
Inspired by Strangelove founder Sean Cliver’s lifelong love of skateboarding.

Sean Cliver‘s StrangeLove Skateboards and Nike SB have joined forces for a Valentine’s Day-themed SB Dunk Low. Drawing from Cliver’s lifelong love of skateboarding, these low-top SB Dunks are highly colorful and incredibly detailed.
Materials are a mix between plush and durable: crushed velvet is used on the white base layer, red swoosh and red tongue tag, but the pink overlays are constructed of a sturdy-yet-sultry suede. Tongues equip a co-branded Nike/StrangeLove tag, and Cliver’s heart-meets-mind “Heart Skull” graphic is present in red and blue on the lateral heel. Down below, the translucent outsole proffers a pink lemonade hue with hearts both red and blue scattered under the forefoot and heel. A white rubber midsole and pink insole with a printed graphic and Zoom Air cushioning round things off.
The loving inspiration on the shoes is continued by the packaging. Inspired by the Valentine’s cards and boxes from their elementary school days, the StrangeLove crew crafted both a custom shoebox with more artwork, a special card, decals and even a print, all of which will be exclusive to StrangeLove and select partners. The release is also accompanied by a “Fine Pair” blog post, in which Cliver details his history with Nike — both collaborative and personal — in a highly humorous fashion.
StrangeLove’s Nike SB Dunk Low will release via the StrangeLove webstore on February 1 alongside a new video from the brand’s skate team before rolling out to other SB stockists like The Berrics’ Canteen on February 7. A retail price has yet to be announced.
