Vegyn Announces Debut Album & Shares JPEGMAFIA Featuring Track "Nauseous / Devilish"

South London producer and frequent Frank Ocean collaborator Vegyn has announced that he’s revving up his engines in preparation of his forthcoming debut album, Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds. Most notably lending his eclectic style to Ocean’s Endless and Blonde projects, as well as co-hosting the R&B stars Blonded radio show, the producer has announced the project just months after sharing his 71-track compilation project. In a recent statement to Pitchfork, the artist shared that the album came to fruition via “insanely stoned experimentation,” further commemorating the announcement by sharing a music video for his JPEGMAFIA featuring single, “Nauseous / Devilish.”

The collaborative effort rides the heels of the abstract rapper’s recently release All My Heroes Are Cornballs, by which Vegan lent his production on “Rap Grow Old & Die x No Child Left Behind.” The new cut sees both showcasing their expertise in crafting experimental electronica tinged by hip-hop backdrops. The visual for the single enlists frequent Vegyn collaborator Blackhaine, who recently starred in Pearl City’s visual for “Down By The Tree.” The choreographer retains his signature volatile jerking throughout the video, further emphasizing the single’s title and lyrics.
