Pearl City's Visual for "Down By The Tree" Is a Cinematic Tour De Force
Watch a troubled man dance his heart out in burdensome fashion.
Avant-pop duo Pearl City, consisting of Manchester-based musicians Greta Edith and Nick Delap, has returned with a cinematic masterpiece for their recently released single “Down By The Tree.” Being the first single from the duo in nearly two years, the latest synth and percussion-heavy cut relishes in the signature avant-garde sound they brought to the table on their 2017 single “Flames.”
In following through with their return, they’ve gone ahead and enlisted acclaimed directors GRANDMAS to produce an equally awry and off-kilter visual that melds beautifully with the track’s atmospheric soundscapes. The exceptionally-worked music video follows a seemingly troubled man enter a pub, who proceeds to dance his heart out in burdensome fashion after a few pints of brew.
