G-SHOCK Gives the Aged IP Treatment to the "Full Metal" Collection
The GMWB5000V makes its debut at Baselworld.

After seeing luxury timepieces from names like Chanel and Gucci showcasing their latest accessories at Baselworld, stalwart watchmaker Casio unveils an added option to one of their popular G-SHOCK series. The Full Metal collection, which has seen updates in black and gold, now gets an added option for a more rugged treatment of the design.
The new GMWB5000V has been coated with a black ion-plating and underwent an aging process to give it a patina, resulting in a unique, worn-in industrial look. Much like the Full Metal 5000-series, the upgraded watch also encompasses a stainless steel shock-resistant case, while maintaining the structure of the first G-SHOCK model. It also includes a Super Illuminator LED backlight, DLC-coated back, Bluetooth connectivity and solar power.
The G-SHOCK GMWB5000V is expected to release sometime this summer. Casio also recently revealed a colorful Rainbow MT-G which is anticipated to hit retailers in June.
