BornxRaised Spotlights Local Families From Venice for Spring Collection
A portrait series of multiple generations donning the LA-based brand.

BornxRaised continues to raise the bar of how seasonal collections are presented, diverging from conventional lookbooks to showcase its clothing and new releases. Firmly rooted in Los Angeles, the brand has teamed up with 35mm photographer Fabian Guerrero to present an editorial that highlights the eight diverse families who have been living in their own Venice Beach community throughout the years. The series of portraits show different generations outside their homes, each sporting selections from BornxRaised’s spring collection, mixed in with their personal wares.
“My family has lived. died. and given life in Venice. Growing up in Venice felt like a big family–everyone knew everybody, good or bad. We knew who we were. we had respect for the blood sweat and tears torn the generations before us. We don’t see all the familiar faces anymore. The history is within us even though sometimes we feel like strangers in our own neighborhood,” quoted Bobby Luna whose family has been in Venice since 1931.
Within the photos, we see signature streetwear pieces like hoodies and tees upgraded with retro and teamster-inspired graphics, while standouts include a collage-like printed button up and green velour polo. Head over to BornxRaised’s website to shop the Spring 2019 collection now.
