Japanese sportswear company Mizuno continues introducing timely iterations of its signature sneakers with this throwback iteration of its Wave Rider Fresh 90. The clunky running sneaker has been given a suitably ’90s-inspired blue and yelow makeover, complete with playful patterns throughout.

A white base serves as a versatile base for the contrasting hues above, rendering the upper mesh and midsole in the monochrome shade. Yellow accents play across the Mizuno logo and tongue, offering a stark disparity to the blue leather on the vamp and heel, with a blue-tinged pattern dancing across the lower portion of the upper and wrapping around the hefty shoe. It resurfaces in darker tones on the toebox, with pale blue on the tongue providing vibrant opposition to the red “M” logo.

Mizuno’s latest Wave Rider Fresh 90 is available on Browns’ site for $237 USD.

Recently, Mizuno served up a muted iteration of its Wave Creation WAVEKNIT.
