The synopsis for the episode reads:
“Following the weather plant terrorist incident, presidential candidate Valerie sees a sharp rise in popularity for her anti-earth immigrant rhetoric. Carole & Tuesday and Angela are nominated for Best New Artist Grammys, and Tao is suddenly taken into custody by the Mars Federal Attorney’s Office after refusing a request from Schwartz. Meanwhile, Carole tries to make contact with the rapper Ezekiel, who she believes is her childhood friend Amer from the orphanage.”
Flying Lotus, Thundercat, and Alison Wonderland have also all contributed original music to Carole & Tuesday in the past. The anime series, which is directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, follows two girls — Carole Stanley and Tuesday Simmons — from totally different backgrounds who unite because of their love for music on a partially terraformed Mars.
