Gucci and Saks Fifth Avenue have come together this season for an exclusive assortment of Fall/Winter 2019 pieces across menswear, womenswear and accessories. To commmemorate the partnership, the Italian label has taken over the windows at Saks in order to showcase the ornate new pieces, which encompass bold details like bright colors, lighthearted prints and shiny metallics.
The men’s range takes on a more classic aesthetic that features everyday pieces such as button-ups, blazers and trousers. Neutral shades of navy, khaki and grey set a muted color palette throughout, while select items get livened up with pops of turquoise. Meanwhile, the women’s capsule skews much flashier by way of sequined designs, vibrant capes and patterned dresses. Garments that are easier on the eyes, including simple turtlenecks and leather skirts, bring in balance. Accessories such as handbags, women’s shoes and Gucci’s unisex Grip Watch rounds out the capsule.
In addition to the 22-piece capsule, Gucci has also launched Mémoire d’une Odeur, the brand’s first genderless fragrance. Described as a fusion of “Roman Chamomile” and “Indian Coral Jasmine,” the scent is meant to be “airy, musky, transparent and authentic.”
The capsule is available now at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, as well as Saks’ web store.
Most recently, Gucci rejoined COMME des GARÇONS for another collaborative tote.
