Japanese outdoor label and wander introduced a special Salomon Outpath GTX collaboration in its Fall/Winter 2019 lookbook; now, the brand delivers a closer look at the trail-ready runner. Function, rather than fashion, is the key factor driving the collaboration, though the shoes sport a couple of style-conscious touches.
Unlike Palace and Boris Bidjan Saberi‘s recent joint efforts with Salomon, and wander elected to remix the unassuming Outpath silhouette, a low-key model rated well for its high durability and weather resistance. and wander boosts the sneaker’s innate versatility with GORE-TEX lining, ensuring that the lightweight shoe can handle any obstacles winter has to offer. Reflective materials at the toe complement the muted olive, white and black colorway, with and wander branding printed across the tongue.
Pre-orders for the collaborative Salomon Outpath GTX begin September 19 on and wander’s site for ¥27,000 JPY (approximately $250 USD) before the shoe officially drops in October.
