Jil Sander has opened its newest boutique on one of Milan’s luxury shopping destinations, Via Sant’Andrea, dedicating the minimalistic space to both rotation exhibitions and a curated retail assortment. The brainchild of creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier, the experimental concept store will host temporary installations that highlight themes within brand collections and showcase unique artist collaborations.

For the first installment, the label has drawn from its offering of down coats to create an exaggerated presentation of the puffy material. The display seeks to illuminate the “sculptural properties” of the material, bringing to light its functional, yet surreal appearance.

“We have many different items that aren’t part of the runway or the campaigns that we really want to be able to show”, the Meiers stated. “The space offers a chance to be quite exploratory, and to present things in a different way”.

Jil Sander will update the exhibitions on a monthly basis, and the space is open now to the public.

For more from the label, catch up on its Spring/Summer 2020 collection from Paris Fashion Week: Men’s.
