Injury Reserve, JPEGMAFIA & Code Orange Collide on "HPNGC"
A “loosie with more to follow” from the Arizona group.
Nearly four months after releasing their 13-track self-titled LP, Injury Reserve are linking up with JPEGMAFIA and Code Orange for a new, standalone single titled “HPNGC.”
Notably, “HPNGC” serves as Injury Reserve’s first new record since their previous full-length project landed on streaming services. According to a press release, today’s collaborative offering is being shared as a “loosie” and more new music is on the way.
“Music-wise, we always think to approach it as always wanting to bring something new to the table,” Injury Reserve’s Ritchie With a T told us during a June edition of our Street Snaps series. “It’s funny because, with fashion, I have a hard time doing that without feeling extra … Right now I’m just gravitating to things that are just the basics done really well.”
“One of the key things of our process working on music lately has been getting that slumber party, camp feeling going,” Injury Reserve’s Parker Corey recently explained to The Line of Best Fit. “It’s trying to get yourself back to at least some level of the naive, 18 year old you were – like, ‘Alright let’s make something f*cking creative.’”
