Grand Seiko Celebrates Japan's 24 Seasons With New Special Edition Four-Piece Collection
Part of the brand’s Heritage Collection.

Grand Seiko has released a new Special Edition Four Seasons Collection that symbolizes Japanese culture’s 24 seasons — with Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall each split into six different seasons by their lunar calendar. The Japanese luxury watchmaker takes inspiration for this from one of the brand’s most iconic models: the 62GS.
The Winter and Spring editions come graced with silver-white and soft pink faces respectively, symbolizing the deep snow of the coldest months in Japan and the beautiful spring blossoms that follow after. Both models are powered by the 9R65 caliber Spring Drive movement and assembled at the company’s Shinshu Watch Studio. The Summer and Fall models, in contrast, carry vibrant green and deep blue faces, representing the vitality of life during the year’s warmest months followed by the melancholy of the upcoming coldness. Both models are equipped with the 9S85 caliber Mechanical Hi-Beat 36,000 movement and assembled at Grand Seiko’s Shizuku-ishi Studio.
The Grand Seiko Special Edition Four Seasons Collection will be available sometime before the end of October, exclusive to the US, retailing for $6,300 USD each.
For more timepieces, Gorillaz have teamed up with G-SHOCK again for a second collaboration.
