Grammy-winning producer Flume (real name Harley Edward Streten) has tagged fellow Australian breakout artist Vera Blue for his newest single, “Rushing Back.” First performed live during the producer’s headlining set at Lollapalooza 2019, the four-minute cut follows the release of “Let You Know” with London Grammar, collaborative EP Quits with Reo Cragun and his Hi This Is Flume mixtape and visualizer.
“[Harley] threw me a bunch of ideas and I was riffing over the songs, just humming melodies that came to my head based on how the song made me feel,” Blue explained in a statement. “There were a couple of ideas I resonated with but I really fell in love with this one as soon as I heard the first few chords, which eventually blossomed into [Rushing Back].”
As Flume wraps up his set of summer festivals, the producer will be hitting up Australia’s Listen Out music festival, Italy’s C2C, a headlining European tour and an already sold-out show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
