COMME des GARÇONS Teases Nike Dunk Sneaker Collab for SS20
The women’s model comes in two variants.

Capping another boundary-destroying COMME des GARÇONS runway presentation, designer Rei Kawakubo reaffirmed her love for Nike with another collaborative sneaker silhouette. Unlike 2017’s bespoke Dunk High, the new shoe is a semi-opaque joint effort centering around the Dunk Low, likely only offered in women’s sizes — it debuted during a womenswear presentation, after all.
Two different Dunk Low iterations are on hand, each executed in tonal black. Both feature the same shade across the Swoosh, sock liner, heel and rubber sole, placing greater emphasis upon the textural materials that wrap the sneaker. Both versions feature translucent plastic uppers — making for a far less see-through shoe than the 2017 release — with one Dunk Low offering all-over lower-case “cdg” branding for extra visual impact. The inner workings of the shoe can be seen beneath, along with the wearer’s foot, somewhat.
