CJ Fly Drops Caribbean-Influenced "Rudebwoy" Video With Joey Bada$$
The first single off his upcoming solo album.
Pro Era’s CJ Fly has released his newest track titled “Rudebwoy,” ahead of his namesake debut album expected to release later this year. Featuring a cameo by bandmate Joey Bada$$, the single was mixed and produced by the notable Statik Selektah.
“This song is the title track of my debut album, so it’s giving you a taste of what you’re about to get from me on this project. The vibes are very Caribbean, energetic, & fun. In the hook, I’m explaining one way a ‘RUDEBWOY’ could be, but also putting a spin on the stigma about Jamaican men,” shared CJ in a press statement.
The track release includes accompanying visuals which show CJ and Joey celebrating Caribbean culture in NYC. Directed by David Janoff, watch the music video for “Rudebwoy” above and stream the song below.
Pro Era Records also shares news of a new global distribution and label services deal with Warner Music’s ADA Worldwide, providing more visibility for the indie label’s roster which includes CJ Fly, Nyck Caution, Aaron Rose, among others.
