BAPE Teams up With Mitchell & Ness for MLB Capsule Collection
Featuring the Yankees, Mets, Angels and Dodgers.
Following the NBA collection from 2018, BAPE and Mitchell & Ness are now trading the court for the diamond to provide a new offering. The two brands have chosen four Major League Baseball teams, namely the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels from the American League, and the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers from the National League, to celebrate the city’s BAPE store communities and the camaraderie and rivalry shared between them.
Presenting logo-heavy varsity jackets, baseball jerseys and a T-shirt, the pieces feature an all-over BAPE print with team emblems placed as either chest or centered designs. The Mets, Dodgers and Angels varsity jackets land with additional BAPE insignias on the back, along with a standalone Yankees edition that only utilizes the BAPE head on the right chest. Meanwhile, the Yankees, Mets and Dodgers button down baseball jerseys and the singular Angels v-neck T-shirt highlight the streetwear brand’s founding year, using ‘93 as its jersey number.
The BAPE x Mitchell & Ness MLB collection will be pre-released at BAPE STORE NEW YORK and BAPE STORE LOS ANGELES on September 28, and will be available globally at A BATHING APE locations, US.BAPE.COM, BAPE.COM WEB STORE and ZOZOTOWN on October 5.
