'Apex Legends' Season 3 Introduces Its New Map in "Meltdown" Launch Trailer
The fire and ice inspired map will debut October 1.
Following the reveal of a new Legend, Respawn Entertainment has released an official launch trailer for the third season of Apex Legends Season 3 and its new titular map Meltdown.
In the footage above, we see some banter between the Legends before they’re deployed from the sky onto the new fire and ice-inspired map, introducing frozen skyscrapers and deadly pits of molten lava. Some of these environmental effects double as gameplay mechanics, such as hot air-geysers that launch players into the sky and a train the moves across the landscape. Although the new footage showcased the upcoming map, since it was shown cinematically, we don’t really know how it will look during gameplay just yet.
Like the previous seasons before it, Meltdown will also introduce a new Battle Pass, new Legendary skins, and more “all season long,” according to Electronic Arts.
Check out the footage above and play Apex Legends Season 3 Meltdown on October 1.
