'Apex Legends' Season 3 Announced, Crypto Officially Revealed

The upcoming season is officially called “Meltdown.”

Following extensive rumors about the character’s inclusion in the game, Respawn Entertainment has released a new trailer debuting Crypto to Apex Legends.

Although the footage above doesn’t showcase how the new Legend plays, it does showcase the character’s origin story. Crypto was once an average hacker until he discovered a way to rig matches in the Apex Legends tournament. It is then a clandestine organization catches onto him and begin to hunt down his friends and family, forcing Crypto to go on the run.

Alongside details about Crypto, it was also announced that the game will officially be entering its third season, entitled “Meltdown.” The new season will feature a new battle pass with over 100 items, a new Charger Rifle weapon, as well as a new Ranked season.
