Chelsea Unveils Stealthy Third Kits for 2019/20
Inspired by the ’90s.
So far Chelsea‘s football kits have had fans divided. The club’s home kit has been getting less-than-stellar reviews, while its mod-inspired away kit has been showing up on numerous best-of lists. To settle the score, The Blues have just unveiled its third kit for the 2019/20 season which should have supporters of the club celebrating.
This 90’s classic kit is dressed in a stealthy black colorway from head-to-toe, while hits of bright orange come in on the sleeve and collar. Similar to the club’s 1994/96 away shirt, the jersey also sports a contrasting white sponsorship logo, Nike insignia and celebrated club badge. Additionally a jacquard knit rising from the fabric of the shirt and a beautiful old-school style collar complete the kit’s final designs. Black shorts and orange socks will be worn together with the top.
On the kit Blues midfielder Mason Mount shared, “You can see the ’90s influence in fashion at the moment, and I think the kit will appeal to pretty much everyone. Younger fans will like that it has a streetwear vibe and older fans will appreciate the sentimentality, remembering club legends who donned the famous jersey and their memories of going to games.”
Interested fans will be able to pick-up Chelsea’s third kit for the 2019/20 season now at select Nike retailers and nike.com, along with Chelsea’s megastore and chelseafc.com.
Chelsea will debut its third kit on October 2 when they face Lille during their European campaign.
