Barry McGee Explores "The Other Side" in Upcoming Perrotin Hong Kong Show
Displaying painted surfboards, hand-thrown ceramics, and more.

This fall, Perrotin Hong Kong will host a solo exhibition titled “The Other Side” featuring a new body of work by acclaimed San Franciso-based artist, Barry McGee. The artist is widely recognized for his minimalist figurations across various mediums including paintings, sculptures, and installations. For the upcoming show, McGee will unveil new painted surfboards, hand-thrown ceramics, and installations comprised of obsolete television sets. His most-iconic ‘boil’ installation will also be on display.
“McGee adopts a fluid and improvisational approach to his installations; each is unique to the architecture of its exhibition venue,” said the gallery in a statement. “The Other Side” will run through October 10 to November 9. Stay tuned for further details.
Elsewhere in art, the New Museum will host a major survey of works by seminal artist Peter Saul.
