Karhu Readies for the Colder Months Ahead With "Cross-Country Ski" Pack
Paying homage to its early days of being a cross-country ski brand.
As we start to move into the colder months, Finnish sneaker and lifestyle brand Karhu has just debuted a whole new collection ready to take on the seasonal elements titled, “Cross-Country Ski.”
Known as one of Kanye West’s favorite sneaker brands, Karhu this time around pays homage to its early days of being a cross-country ski brand, which started out in 1916. Comprised of only the Fusion 2.0, the silhouette is dressed in three different colorways inspired by the bright pops of colour featured in the cross-country ski designs of the ‘90s and ‘00s. Each model is crafted from colour blocked leather, suede and soft nylon mesh in the color combinations of “Monument/Fiery Red,” “Night Sky/Dandelion” and “Leather Brown/Night Sky.” Additionally the sneaker’s rope lacing adds a bit of an outdoorsy feel the the overall vibe.
Karhu’s “Cross-Country Ski” pack will be available starting this Friday, September 20 at Karhu’s concept store in Helsinki, Karhu.com and at select retailers worldwide. The Fusion 2.0 will retail for $140 USD.
