Ron Herman Japan Taps Raf Simons for 10th Anniversary T-Shirt
The retailer celebrates the milestone later this year.
Specialty clothing boutique Ron Herman has announced a new collaborative t-shirt alongside Raf Simons to commemorate the retailer’s 10th anniversary in Japan. Though its American branch is a California staple, Ron Herman Japan is a wholly different animal; the Eastern imprint is licensed to and operated by SAZABY LEAGUE, a Japanese conglomerate, and offers upscale goods and exclusive in-house items alongside its familiar surf-friendly oeuvre.
To celebrate Ron Herman Japan’s decade of business, Simons has served up a special iteration of his signature boxy T-shirt, emblazoned with delicate text prints. The shirt features Raf Simons’ idiosyncratic graphic style by way of vertically-aligned script typography that reads “Antwerp Raf Simons” with “1995” — the year Raf Simons was founded — placed directly below. A rose graphic accompanies the verbiage, executed in black to contrast against the red lettering.
You can check out Ron Herman and Raf Simons’ 10th Anniversary Japan t-shirt in the gallery above. A Japan-exclusive, the one-off shirt will only be available via Ron Herman’s various Eastern flagships on August 31 for ¥43,000 JPY (approximately $400 USD) — the Japanese arm of the company shuns web stores and keeps a low profile on social media.
