Powers Pleasant Taps Buddy & G Perico for 'Life Is Beautiful' Single "Can't F*cc Wit It"
The Pro Era co-founder’s debut album is on the way.
Pro Era co-founder Powers Pleasant is revealing plans for his debut studio album — dubbed Life Is Beautiful — and introducing the LP by serving up a new single with West Coast legends-in-the-making Buddy and G Perico. Known as “Can’t F*cc Wit It,” Powers Pleasant’s latest record serves as the follow-up to past Life Is Beautiful singles “Pull Up” and “Please Forgive.”
“Timbaland, Kanye, and The Neptunes are my favorite producers,” Powers Pleasant told Uproxx last year, breaking down his primary artistic influences. “But you know like Kanye, he’s got hits under his belt but not every song sounds like a Kanye West song so I like to always try and reinvent myself, so it’s hard to characterize.”
“There’s no box, we are gonna do whatever the f*ck we want,” the Pro Era artist added. “Anything that doesn’t evolve is gonna die. New York is evolving. We aren’t gonna sound the same way it has traditionally. Of course, it’s gonna have that ego, cockiness, and aggression because we are from New York and that’s just natural. We’re gonna make music the way we want to.”

This past spring, Powers Pleasant served as the primary producer on Beast Coast’s first full-length group album Escape From New York.
