Odake's BladeX is the World's Slimmest Portable Touch Screen Monitor
Available in 1080p or 4K.
Based out of California, consumer tech company Odake has designed the world’s slimmest portable touch screen monitor: the BladeX.
Measuring under half a centimeter in thickness, the highly mobile 15-inch monitor weighs in at only 1.89 pounds. It’s equipped with two USB-C, two HDMI, and two Micro-USB ports which allow you to connect almost any device to the screen, whether it’s a smartphone, laptop or even your favorite gaming console. The integrated foldable stand allows the screen to be positioned at three different angles — including a portrait orientation — while housing a battery that can power the device for three hours per charge, and holds speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For those interested, Odake is offering its BladeX in two models: the standard version has a resolution of 1080p whilst the Pro version features 4K capabilities. The former will be sold at $209 USD whilst the latter upgraded version comes in at $309 USD. Surpassing their original funding goal quite significantly on Indiegogo, the company is now in the process of prototyping, and shipping of the final product is expected to be in November.
