Dave Chappelle's New Netflix Standup Special 'Sticks & Stones' Gets a Trailer
Narrated once again by Morgan Freeman.
Netflix dropped a new trailer for Dave Chappelle, announcing his upcoming stand-up comedy special entitled Sticks & Stones. Following up from 2017’s Dave Chappelle: Equanimity & The Bird Revelation, the visuals above once again see actor Morgan Freeman return as the comedian’s narrator, a role he’s fulfilled since Dave’s Netflix deal began with The Age of Spin and Deep in the Heart of Texas.
The video shows Dave walking in the desert as Morgan voices over about the current climate of comedy and internet culture, stating “if you say anything, you risk everything.” The footage ends with the comic picking up a microphone, sitting down on a stool that’s in front of a backdrop photo screen, seemingly accepting those terms going into his new special.
Dave Chappelle’s Sticks & Stones will debut on the streaming service on August 26.
