Maison Margiela Releases Graffiti Heavy Capsule Collection
Including Tabi Boots & two styles of bags.
Maison Margiela recently delivered a Tabi Boot inspired by the look of duct tape and continues to reimagine the iconic boot with new designs. This time, the French luxury brand is set to release a collection that highlights two graffiti-printed Tabi Boots, a bucket bag and a mini bag.
The ankle-cut boots are covered in a print inspired by the graffiti Tabi Boots from the ’90s spring/summer collection. Instead of the previous shoe’s boldly painted exterior, the boots take on a modern graffiti look with a black colorway that remains subdued with white, silver and gray accenting and a white colorway with pops of red and blue. The print wraps around the entire shoe, including the iconic square cleft toe and stacked conical heel. The black bucket bag and white mini bag follow similar graffiti patterns as the boots. While offering single straps for use over the shoulders, both bags include alternative ways of wearing them, such as the two handles for the mini bag.
After an initial release of both collections in Hong Kong, the various pieces will be available for purchase online starting in September.
