HBO Announces 'His Dark Materials' Premiere Date (UPDATE)
Arriving this Fall.
UPDATE (September 13, 2019): After multiple trailers and teasers, HBO has finally announced the series premiere date for its upcoming fantasy His Dark Materials.
The show, which is based off of the bestselling novels by Philip Pullman and is set in an alternate world where one’s soul manifests as a shape-shifting animal called a Daemon, will arrive on the small screen this November 4.
Along with revealing the date, HBO shared a new teaser trailer spotlighting the cast made up of James McAvoy and Dafne Keen. Check it out below.

Original Story (August 27, 2019): Slated to release this fall, HBO and BBC have just shared a new trailer for its upcoming fantasy series His Dark Materials.
Unlike the last two trailers released, which placed a large focus on James McAvoy and his Lord Asriel counterpart, the latest visuals center on the girl placed in the middle of all the magic and action, Lyra (Dafne Keen). Coming in at just over one-minute, the clip features the young heroine of the story preparing for an adventure. Soon after when it is discovered other young children have begun to go missing, Lyra takes it upon herself to help them, something she feels destined for.
