Converse Offers a Premium Take on the Chuck 70 Velvet High Top
Taking inspiration from astronaut undersuits from early space missions.

Converse is fusing tradition and luxury with its newest Chuck 70 High Top iterations.
Offered in all-over “Black” and “Burnt Sienna” options, the re-crafted silhouette stays true to its original All Star 1970s make with archival rubber taping, vintage trims and extra cushioning. Taking design cues from astronaut undersuits from early space missions, the model’s orthodox canvas fabric is swapped with a soft velvet upper, adding a stronger sense of luxury on top of a new textural layer.
The first variant arrives dipped in a stark black hue down to the outsole, while the brown alternative rests on a contrasting white midsole. Both modifications are tied together with tonal laces, complete with the Converse star ankle patch and retro license plate on the heel.
The Converse Chuck 70 Velvet High Top is available now on converse.com for $90 USD each.
