Concept artist Andy Park took to Instagram to share a photo of his hand-painted artwork of ’Black Widow.’ Park described the work as the official Disney D23 poster in the caption, with a dynamic portrait of Scarlett Johansson as the stealthy heroine gracing the composition. The poster also hints at a cast of characters in the backdrop that may appear in the upcoming Marvel Studios film. For one, a profile of what appears to be David Harbour’s Red Guardian/Alexei Shostakov is observed to the right of the black-clad assassin.
Further details surrounding MCU’s upcoming ‘Black Widow’ film have yet to be announced. The movie is currently set between the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and is expected to hit theaters on May 1, 2020. View the poster below and stay tuned for updates.
In related news, a D23 announcement relayed that the Disney+ streaming platform will release episodes of shows on a weekly basis.
