The 2019 MTV VMAs took place tonight at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, seeing the biggest names in the industry coming together to celebrate the best music of the past year.

Hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, the night also included various performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Lizzo and Miley Cyrus to duets from J. Balvin and Bad Bunny, Big Sean and A$AP Ferg, and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. Lil Nas X was also on hand to perform “Panini.” Cultural icon Missy Elliott also gifted the crowd with a medley of her biggest tracks, such as “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly),” “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It,” “Pass That Dutch,” and “Lose Control,” as she accepted this year’s Video Vanguard Award.

New Jersey Natives Wyclef Jean, Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, Redman, and Fetty Wap closed out the award show with their performance paying homage to the Garden State with their hits “O.P.P.,” “Da Rockwilder,” “Trap Queen,” “Gone Till November,” “No Woman, No Cry,” “U.N.I.T.Y.,” and “Hip Hop Hooray.” Check out all the performances from the 2019 MTV VMAs below.
