Watch the Porsche Taycan Set a New Nürburgring Record
Now the fastest four-door EV car on the track.
Porsche has just proved to the world that its upcoming EV sports car, the Porsche Taycan, means serious business. Testing the Taycan on one of the world’s most recognized tracks, Porsche was able to get a record lap time of 7 minutes and 42 seconds at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The Taycan, which is still only in pre-production, now holds the track record for the fastest four-door electric vehicle. Set to compete against high-performing EVs like the Tesla Model S, the Taycan is able to sustain longer levels of maximum performance output due to its Porsche-developed cooling system.
