Vans' Bold Ni Silhouette Gets a Traditional Scottish Tartan Makeover
Coming in two Fall-ready colorways.
Vans has given its Bold Ni silhouette a traditional Scottish makeover with the release of two tartan-covered offerings. The Bold Ni is an archived silhouette loosely based on the Old Skool, featuring a T-shape toe box and an oversized Jazz Stripe while keeping the classic waffle sole unit.
For this release, Vans has released a red pair with green, white, yellow and blue checks, as well a green-based pair featuring red, white, yellow and blue checks. Both pairs feature a clean white sole unit, a classic red branding on the rear, a bold white Jazz Stripe and complementing laces, and a thin black stripe running around the sole unit’s perimeter.
The Bold Ni “Tartan Pack” sees an upper made from a soft, brushed textile similar to tradition plaid shirts and receives a contemporary update in the form of an UltraCush Lite drop-in sock liner, coming together to make this a truly cozy Fall-ready sneaker.
Both pairs are available from retailers such as Coutié for £77 GBP (approx. $96 USD).
