G-SHOCK Drops '90s Boombox-Inspired GA-140 Series
Five color options for the all-new timepiece.

G-SHOCK introduces a range of analog-digital watches with the retro-indebted GA-140 series. Taking cues from the brand’s ’90s styles, the new GA-140 sports a chunky case and strap, elevated by several contemporary touches.
The series’ big outer case is borrowed from G-SHOCK’s iconic GA-100 and GA-110 series, paired with a newly-designed deep dial display fashioned to look like electronic instruments from the ’90s. This updated dial features an analog speed indicator sub-dial at the 3 o’clock position, a digital time display at the 12 o’clock position, and a date display at the 6 o’clock position, as well as an array of other LCD displays surrounding the hour and minute hands, reminiscent of retro digital gadgets. Obviously retaining the brand’s famed toughness and shock resistance, the GA-140 models are also all water resistant up to 200 meters, magnetic resistant and has an automatic LED light for illumination.
With five models in the GA-140 series, the Japanese watchmaker is offering a myriad of color options: black, black with red and orange accents, blue, red and grey, and purple. All of them will be available via G-SHOCK’s website and at select retailers for $99 USD in August.
