UPDATE (July 16, 2019): After sharing a teaser late last week, Ronnie Fieg has now disclosed new information regarding the upcoming collaborative ASICS GEL-KAYANO 5 OG “Oasis” sneaker.
Taking to IG once again, Fieg not only shared a full view of the model, but also a release date and a look at the accompanying apparel capsule. Dubbed “Oasis,” the collection will include the summer-ready ASICS silhouette along with a range of T-shirts, shorts and bucket hats all covered in the same color palette as the aforementioned sneaker. Original Story (July 10, 2019): Continuing on their longstanding collaborative efforts, Ronnie Fieg has taken to his personal Instagram account to tease another upcoming ASICS sneaker.
Already spanning numerous years and various models, this time around the duo focus their efforts on the GEL-KAYANO 5 OG, an upgraded model paying homage to its 20-years-old GEL-KAYANO 5 predecessor. The picture shared by Fieg sees the shoes placed into the sand, helping to suggest the summer-ready colorway should be dropping sometime soon.
Crafted from an array of mesh, suede and leather panels, the shoe’s outfit takes on a mostly white and grey palate. The summer tones of orange, mint, and red then find their way onto the tongue tab, inner liner, midsole and outsole.
