Netflix Finally Reveals a New 'Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling' Trailer (UPDATE)

UPDATE: A new trailer for Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling has surfaced, showcasing a bit more of the plot and what to expect from the upcoming movie. In an attempt to reclaim a source of familiarity, Rocko seeks out creator Ralph Bighead once he realizes his show The Fatheads has gone off the air since he and his friends have been gone. Original Story (Jul 16, 2019): Beloved ’90s ‘toon Rocko’s Modern Life is finally set to make its long-awaited return. First teased in 2017, the show’s first-ever revival is set to hit Netflix later this summer.
According to the film’s press release, Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling centers around the challenges faced by the main cast after returning from a 20-year trip to outer space. “Rocko has trouble accepting this 21st century modern life, while Heffer and Filburt embrace every aspect of new technology, social media and the endless diversity of food trucks,” it explains. “Rocko whole-heartedly believes that his nostalgia for the past can save him from the tortures of the modern world.” Rocko creator Joe Murray directed the movie, with the main cast also returning to voice their original characters.
