Eden Hazard and Virgil Van Dijk are this years chosen ones.
With FIFA 20‘s first gameplay trailer dropping just a week ago, EA has now followed up with an announcement of the game’s cover stars. Ex-Chelsea player Eden Hazard, who just joined Spanish-side Real Madrid will grace the cover of the game’s Standard Edition, donning the fresh white jersey of Los Blancos. Dutch player Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool takes the cover for FIFA 20‘s Champions Edition, wearing the iconic crimson New Balance jersey from the team that championed this year’s UEFA Champions League.
“EA SPORTS FIFA is the biggest football game on the planet, and I have been playing it for years against my brothers,” said Eden Hazard. “I am lucky to have been on the cover before but to be on FIFA 20 globally is amazing and I hope to excite as many gamers as I do when I take the field for Real Madrid this season!”
Van Dijk, on the other hand, said that “It is a huge honour for me to be on the cover of FIFA 20. I’ve been playing FIFA for as long as I can remember and so it’s an extremely proud moment for me to be representing Liverpool FC on the cover of such an iconic game“.
FIFA 20 is due for release September 24, and will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and the Nintendo Switch.
